1. Membership
  • New Account Registration:
    To register a new account, please log on to freightmoverstt.net/registration. Registration is free of charge.
  • Account Responsibility:
    The registered customer will be solely responsible for all payments associated with the account.
  • Delivery Service:
    FMCL offers a delivery service, subject to specific conditions which apply.
  • Account Suspension:
    In the event of overdue payments (arrears), your account may be temporarily suspended until the balance is cleared.
  • Termination of Agreement:
    FMCL reserves the right to terminate this agreement with a two-week notice.
  • U.S. Postal Service (USPS):
    Packages delivered through the United States Postal Service are accepted.
  • Courier Services:
    We accept shipments via major courier services such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, and USPS Registered Mail.
  • Personal Delivery/Drop-Offs:
    Packages delivered in person or dropped off at designated locations are also accepted.

 

Note:
C.O.D. (Cash on Delivery) shipments are not accepted.

If you are interested in tracking your shipments using the above shippers, please long on to their respective website using the assigned tracking number of contact your local FMCL office and we will be happy to assist.

Our local package tracking software will notify you when a shipment has arrived at the Miami warehouse for your account. In less than 24hrs. If you are not expecting and got a package notification please immediately contact us with the warehouse receipt number.

Your shippers are to ensure that your POS/S number are correctly labelled on all items being delivered to your US address to avoid any delays.

  • Tax Coverage:
    FMCL will cover all applicable taxes upfront on your behalf. A bill for reimbursement will be presented to you upon delivery.
  • Online Purchase Charges:
    Please note that all online purchases are subject to OPT charges.
  • Bonded Shipments:
    Shipments exceeding the non-trade limit of (CIF) $3,000.00 US will be bonded for clearance by your Customs Broker or their representative.
  • Freight Charges for Bonded Packages:
    To collect your bonded packages, all associated freight charges must be paid in full.
  • Customs Brokerage Assistance:
    If you require a Customs Broker, FMCL can assist in locating one.
  • Customs Registration:
    If you or your business are not registered with Customs, FMCL can facilitate the registration process for a nominal fee.
  • Additional Regulatory Approvals:
    Customers are responsible for obtaining all required OGA approvals (e.g., Food & Drug, Plant Quarantine, etc.).
  • OPT Charge Exception:
    Please note that packed boxes are not subject to OPT charges.
  • Liability Commencement:
    FMCL assumes liability for shipments only after they have arrived at our Miami office.
  • Third-Party Carrier Responsibilities:
    We are not responsible for any inefficiencies, delays, or errors caused by freight forwarding or delivery companies operating in the US.
  • Delivery Timing:
    FMCL and our Miami agents are not liable for shipments attempted for delivery outside of working hours or on weekends.
  • Incorrect Addressing:
    We are not responsible for packages with incorrect addresses or missing POS/S numbers.
  • Invoice Submission & Customs Valuation:
    Customers must submit invoices for their shipments. If an invoice is not provided, Customs may assign a value at its discretion. FMCL is not liable for any disputes regarding assigned values, as Customs has the final authority.
  • Damaged Shipments in Miami:
    FMCL is not liable for shipments that arrive damaged at our Miami office. Any shipment that arrives in a damaged condition will be refused and returned to the sender.
  • Lost or Damaged Shipments:
    FMCL is not liable for lost packages or damages occurring due to reasons beyond our control. Claims for lost or damaged shipments will be handled according to the airline’s terms and conditions.
  • Order Discrepancies:
    FMCL is not responsible for incorrect orders, incorrect quantities, or any discrepancies with shipments received at our Miami facility.
  • Television Shipments:
    Customers shipping televisions are strongly advised to insure their TVs before shipping, as FMCL is not liable for any damage incurred during transit.

The following items are strictly prohibited from being shipped through FMCL:

  • Hazardous & Flammable Items: Aerosols, fuels, explosives, or any other flammable substances.
  • Perishable Goods: Seeds, live plants, frozen goods, or any other perishable items.
  • Animal Products: Live animals, animal skins, feathers, and honey.
  • Weapons & Firearm Accessories: Firearms, ammunition, firearm components, or related accessories.
  • Currency & Valuables: Cash, high-value jewelry, or precious metals.
  • Restricted Media: Pornographic material of any kind.
  • Illegal Substances: Any illegal drugs or controlled substances. Possession or shipment of these items will result in immediate account termination.
  • Alcoholic Beverages: All forms of alcoholic drinks and spirits.
  • Chemicals & Hazardous Materials: Fertilizers, agricultural chemicals, glue, adhesives, and lithium batteries.
  • Fragrance & Pressurized Items: Cologne, perfume, and full oxygen tanks.
  • Vehicle Components: Any parts that have been in contact with fuel or oil.
  • Weapons & Defense Items: Tear gas, swords, and camouflage gear.
  • Special Restrictions: The Trinidad & Tobago national flag may be subject to specific conditions.

Important Notice:
Failure to comply with these restrictions may result in shipment delays, confiscation by authorities, or account suspension. Please contact FMCL for guidance if you are unsure about shipping a specific item.

  • Package Hold Requests:
    If you are unavailable, you may request that we hold your packages. However, we kindly ask that all payments for shipments be made promptly to ensure smooth operations.
  • Updating Contact Information:
    If your contact details (e.g., email address, delivery address, or phone number) have changed, please notify us immediately to update our records and prevent any communication issues.
  • Unclaimed Packages:
    Packages that remain unclaimed for 30 days will be discarded.
  • Unpaid Bills & Storage: Outstanding balances from previous shipments may cause delivery delays, and unpaid packages will be placed into storage.FMCL covers all necessary charges upfront to facilitate quick delivery. While we currently do not charge warehouse fees for unclaimed packages, we will take appropriate steps to recover payments for shipments left uncollected for over 30 days.

Some websites may not accept your credit card if it is registered with a local address. If you encounter this issue, there is no need to worry. Simply contact your bank and request that they add an alternative address (your US shipping address) to your credit card. This will facilitate a smoother checkout process, as your billing and shipping addresses will match.

 

Re-Weighing for Accuracy:
All packages are re-weighed upon arrival for billing and documentation purposes.

Correcting Supplier Errors:
At times, suppliers or local handlers may incorrectly label package weights (e.g., a package weighing 1 lb may be labeled as 2 lbs, or vice versa). FMCL re-weighs all shipments to ensure accurate billing.

Freight Charge Calculation:
Freight charges are based solely on the actual weight of the package.

Authorised Collection:
If you are unable to collect your shipment personally and will be sending someone on your behalf, please notify us in advance via email.

Required Documentation:
The authorized person must present an authorization letter along with a valid form of identification to collect the shipment.

Checking out on your orders, some vendors request your contact number. Please provide them with your TT number that the bank has on file where this can also be used for verification.

Air Freight Restrictions:
Hazardous cargo cannot be shipped via air freight.

Assistance & Alternative Solutions:
If you need to ship hazardous items, please contact us for guidance. We will be happy to assist in finding the best shipping solution, subject to applicable conditions.

Designated Use:
The Miami address belongs to a Florida-based freight forwarder that operates separately from FMCL. It is strictly for receiving FMCL shipments.

Business Registration Restriction:
This address must not be used to register your personal or business address in the U.S.

 

  1. C.O.D. (Cash on Delivery) shipments are not accepted.
  2. Walk-in deliveries are accepted during business hours.
  3. Operating hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  4. Package Inspection: All shipments will be thoroughly inspected before shipping.

 

Full Container Load (FCL) & Less than Container Load (LCL) Shipments:
FMCL facilitates both FCL & LCL shipments—please contact our local office for assistance.w

Clearance Process:
Trade shipments with a CIF (Cost, Insurance & Freight) value under $3,000.00 USD can be cleared over the counter.

Applicable Charges:
Brokerage and CARICOM charges will apply.
